As well as being a true veteran of our stable having made his debut for us way back in May 2011, Flyingconi is much more than just a piece of the furniture at Eden Racing.

He's remarkably underrated as the market showed again on Saturday at Flemington when he was sent off as a $26 chance in the last race on the program, despite peeling off some slick late splits in his runs prior.

Now rising eight years of age, Flyingconi again ran times better than much younger and far more popular rivals on the weekend, recording the fastest last 200m section of the day in a sizzling 11.40secs, as well as top four last 400m/600m/800m sections at the meeting.

Three of his six wins have come on city tracks and we're confident that the old boy can add another metropolitan success to his record in what is likely to be his last year of racing.

As he showed on Saturday, all he needs is a genuine tempo, a roomy track, and distances around 1400m and he will be right there in the finish at big odds.
