As a result of a perfect ride by Beau Mertens the four year old Dawn Approach x Big Birdie mare took the step up to the 1700 at Geelong in her stride winning in great style on Sunday. The victory takes her record to 4 wins and 6 placings (and 3 fourths) from her 22 starts and she has now earnt $111,000 in prizemoney.
She is ultra consistent and she has given her owners a fantastic ride to date with every indication based on her success on Sunday that there is more to come. Congratulations to all owners both locally and in Sydney and we know they really enjoyed the win. She wil now spend a few days at our farm and the beach at Corinella. We can now look to stay around the 1700 – 1800 with every indication that she may get to 2000.
