Teretoa finally paid back his very patient owners by winning his Maiden at Sale on Christmas Eve. Before joining Eden Racing the horse had raced 31 times for 11 minor placing both here in Victoria and the state of Queensland but it was Shea who was able to turn the horse around and finally get him accross the line. Since joining the stable, Shea noticed a change in the horse almost immediately. He became more relaxed, he was more switched on and having his work mixed up by introduing beach work as well as gallops at the track, this tactic proved to be the right ingredient for Teretoa. As one person on track at Sale put it, Shea you are a genius and we are sure that the owners are most likely in agreeance with this comment.
