At this time of the year you generally find that the number of horses racing on the Victorian circuit increases dramatically and the competition is much harder due to being in the middle of the Spring Carnival.  Shea hasn't had any of his horses running in the main events so far but his talent as a trainer is certainly shining through. Currently he sits 21st on the Victorian Premiership board and boasts a strike rate of 22.22%, only two other trainers within the 1st 21 have a better strike rate than him and thoses trainers have well over 100 horses on their books. This month Shea has trained 3 winners including a double at Echuca and numerous placings. The stable has had 36 runners, 8 of those have won and overall 25 of his horses and finished no worse than 5th. This week Shea is hoping to improve his already impressive stats this coming weekend with a strong hand of runners when he heads to Moonee Valley this Friday night with Street Stall and Timber Cat, Mooney Valley on Saturday with Bigelow and then finishing up on Sunday at Sale with Speedy Graphito. Good luck to all of the connections for this weekend and hopefully we will have reason to celebrate.
