The lightly raced 4 year mare recorded an emphatic win on Sunday 13th Feb at Werribee as she stepped up to the 2600 journey for the first time. Having only her 11th race start the Americain x Reflected Image (by Bluebird) mare was ridden perfectly by Thomas Stockdale under instructions where she made her move from midfield around the 1200 and going 3 wide hitting the front at the 600 and making a real staying contest to win very strong fashion to the post.
Her last 4 starts have realised two wins and two second placings improving each time she gets out in distance. Part owner and trainer Shea Eden together with her other owner Phil Gracie from Queensland are starting to realise they have a very handy staying mare well and truly on the way up.
The mare will now be set for higher grade races in the coming weeks around the 2500 – 2600 distances where she will get in nicely weighted.
