Chestnut Mare Persinette went to Cranbourne Friday night a good chance over 2040m. She settled towards the rear of the field and before the turn, jockey Vlad Duric hit the front and she torn away to win by 7 lengths.

Having been with the stable for only 4 starts, the mare has gone from strength to strength.

"She will go to the paddock now for a well earned rest, before being given her chance at black type next preparation" Shea commented following the race on Friday. "She will definitely get further".

Congratulations to The Delroy Family on the great win.
