Lovie May kicked off a great weekend for the Eden stable when she returned to the winner’s circle at Sale on Friday in the Class 1 1200. The 3YO Kuroshio x Live and Learn filly (half sister to Indiana Lilly) nothced up her second career win when placed back on a good 4 surface. Brilliantly rated in front by the in form Tom Stockdale she was too good for a pretty handy field of essentially lightly raced horses.
Congratulations to a terrific group of owners with a special shout out to Carolyn Gillard who was on course to see the filly win. Carolyn travels all over the state to see her horses race and is a great friend of the stable. It was also a great thrill for Shea’s grandmother who celebrated her 98th birthday – happy birthday from everyone at Eden Racing.
Well done to Shea, Jamie and the team on getting Lovie back in the winners list and we look forward to her next run which is highly likely to be the 3YO Filly’s 1200 race at Caulfield on July 23rd.
