There has been no rest here at the stables, with a big weekend ahead to kick off the new year.
Saturday at Bairnsdale will see the first runners of 2014 for the team. Three horses will be having their first up runs and we are looking forward to a wonderful day.
A 3yo Maiden over 1200m will kick proceedings off for the stable with first starter 'The Dylan' (Dylan Thomas x Con's Amy). The BM64 1000m will see last start winner Villianous Vixen (Churchill Downs x Zejester) contest what looks to be a tough country race. Beau Dash (Gonski x Zip You Up) will round out the day in the BM64 1200m.
Sunday will see racing head to Warrnambool with two runners for the stable. First starter 'Vonconi' (Bianconi x Vontastic) will kick the day off in a 3yo Maiden over 1300m. The beautiful old boy 'Bedouin Express' (Desert King x Gal Express) will line up over 2000m, and as you can see from the photo, looks in top shape. In form 1.5kg claiming apprentice Josh Cartwright has the ride on both.
Stony Creek Monday will see 'Condahussler' (Hussonet x Con's Amy) line up in the BM70 1780m and looks to be a nice race for him.
