Libertus capped off a great two days for our Geelong owners joining Rock In The Park from Sandown the previous day in the winner’s circle. The 4YO gelding by Statue Of Liberty out of Run Girl Run brought up his second win from only 5 starts with two placings through a very strong win in the Heavy 10 at Cranbourne when due to the track pattern he had to be ridden out of his comfort zone. He was perfectly ridden to instructions by the in form Daniel Moor who brought up a double for the stable in 24 hours. All those on pace with or around Libertus to the turn failed to figure in the run home as the 4YO showed a nice turn of foot after they straightened to win comfortably although the “mudlark” runner up Inkslinger was getting home out wide but didn’t have the tough rough that Libertus endured. The win was even better than it looked as he didn’t really handle the going.
Congratulations to all our Geelong owners on a well deserved back to back double along with a big well done again to Shea, Jamie and all the team at Eden Racing.
