We're sending them far and wide this weekend from Moonee Valley to Swan Hill and with a string of close placings in our more recent runners there's no doubt the flood gates are about to open!
On Saturday SMOKIN AL heads to Moonee Valley where she runs in Race 4 over 1200m in a strong Benchmark 70 Hcp. She was fantastic first-up at Echuca where she really launched at the winner over the final 200m. She loves soft ground so the more rain that arrives between now and race time the better! A great each-way chance.
On Sunday, Black Caviar's cousin FOR THE FALLEN chases that elusive maiden win in Race 3 over 1600m and we're hoping the little bloke gets the job done for his patient owners. He's far from a "good thing" but might run a cheeky race.
Then we're off to the Swan Hill Cup where our old mate FLYINGCONI tries to capitalise on a string of good runs this preparation and land another country cup win. He's been drawing too well of late, he loves getting wide and coming around runners and he gets that chance this weekend.
Shea could not have the old boy going any better and he might surprise a few of the more favoured runners this Sunday.
Have a great long weekend!
