It was a fantastic night for Keith Turner and his wife Tanya at Cranbourne on Friday night when Sunset Eagle, the mare they have a share in, saluted in the last race in impressive fashion. Keith and Tanya and their family and friends were on track to celebrate Keith’s 60th birthday and thanks to a super ride from Zac Spain the 4 year old mare by Dawn Approach out of Big Birdie notched up her third career win from 17 starts. She is becoming a track specialist at Cranbourne with all three career wins at her home track.
Congratulations to the big number of owners in Sunset Eagle who we trust all had something on her at the juicy odds of around $20.
Shea was full of praise for the mare and thanked Jamie Dentith and the Eden Racing team for all their hard work. This was Shea’s 24th winner of the season and he remains around the 19% strike rate still the second best in the state.
