Four-year-old Danzero mare Black Zero broke through for a much deserved maiden victory this afternoon at Echuca in $15,000 Border Inn Hotel Plate (1200m).
Luckless in her five starts to date, jockey Daniel Stackhouse rolled forward on resilient galloper to sit on the leaders girth in transit.
Revelling in the Heavy9 conditions, Blazk Zero then started to take control rounding the home bend, holding off all comers down the long Echuca straight to score well by half-a-length.
It was a terrific reward for all involved and yet again another stellar training performance from Shea Eden.
Congratulations to owners Con Bouronikos and Wayne Lucas on todays success.
It was almost another training double for Shea the very next race, with dogged gelding Corinthian only being caught in the last 100m when running second to the talented Chicago Chick.
Certainly a horse to follow into his next star, Corinthian. A maiden win is just around the corner for the Lauriston-owned son of Flying Spur.
