Maiden three year old Calmsir shook Flemington on Saturday 2nd July with an emphatic win from last in the $200 k 3YO Mahogany Final over 2500 at Headquarters. Shea Eden has been confident all along in the Proisir x Inner Peace gelding’s staying ability saying the further he goes the better he will be and he wasn’t totally shocked by the win. There were some jubilant seens in the mounting yard as they crossed the line and also in front of many TV screens where no doubt a number of the terrific bunch of owners watched the race.
Congratulations to all owners of which for some it was their first horse, first winner and first winner at Flemington.
It was also a very uplifting win for Shea and Jamie and all the hard working an dedicated staff after a very challenging past two or three weeks.
Calmsir will return to Flemington on July 16th to contest the 2800 race on that program.
