A great few days continued yesterday when Akamon returned to his very best in winning at Cranbouren in emphatic fashion to give the stable winners on 3 consecutive days. With conditions to suit and a superb ride by Damien Thornton the now 8 year old gelding powered through the line to give the stable their 7th winner of the new season. Shea said post race on Racing.com that the horse has been a challenge to keep him racing and competitive due to a number of issues and he thanked our vets, our farrier and our chiro along wiith our dedicated staff at the stable heaaded up by Jamie our foreman. Congratulations to our very patient and very supportive owners in Akamon in Craig and Sue Scott, Tim and Sandra Darcy, Brendan and Sue Hovey, John and Cath Nagle, Dr Genevieve Seabrook and Dr Michael Membrey.
With 7 winners from our past 15 runners the stable is confident the run can continue today at Ballarat with Sodalite after her impressive win on the synthetic at her only attempt on that surface two weeks ago. Tomorrow we also head to Pakenham with Roederer who we also rate a live chance. Good luck to all connections.
