There is no doubt that Shea Eden is a trainer on the rise in the Victorian racing industry. With a proven record of success, a growing owner base, and a strong team of young horses, Shea is fast becoming one of the most respected young trainers in the State if not Australia.

It's somewhat ironic but not surprising to learn that Shea came to racing through building, as he has steadily and carefully crafted his career in racing over the last five years, initially during a self-imposed apprenticeship on the Victorian picnic circuit where he was twice crowned Trainer of the Year.

Like a true tradesman it has been Shea's attention to detail and pride in his work that has led to his success with happy owners spreading the word of quality work and attention to detail.

Initially it was that careful touch that saw Shea inherit numerous tried horses that other trainers had lost patience with. Heads turned as he began winning city races with troublesome cast offs but for Shea it was about recognising the potential of the raw product and coaxing the best out of it.

Rambert, a $500 discard and multiple city winner of over $128,000 in stakes is perhaps the best example of Shea's ability to identify thoroughbred talent.

Stakes performers Zellindi ($60k yearling) and Apollo's Choice ($52k yearling) are two prime examples of that record with both far exceeding their purchase price from a handful of starts. City winners Flyingconi and Better Call Saul, and a swarm of up and coming young winners strengthen Shea's growing team into season 2014/15.

"I invite you to get in touch and discuss the opportunities for your horse in my stable. I'm proud of my work and of my team and I am confident that the success we have enjoyed so far is just the tip of the iceberg; come and be a part of the exciting future that lays ahead," Shea Eden.
