equilibrium lights up cranbourne
May 24, 2018
Equilibrium made it two wins from his first two starts in Australia with a strong win over 1500 metres in the heavy track conditions at Cranbourne on Friday night.
Being untried here on the heavy going we were unsure weather he would relish the conditions but the son of Shamoline Warrior had previous wet track form in new Zealand so we were quite confident that he would. Jye McNeil settled him mid-field with cover and was ridden along at the 500 metre mark to chase on the turn and he kept going strongly to the line.
Shea believes the best is yet to come as we haven't got him to his ideal distance range of 2000 metres and beyond. We will step him up to 1700 metres this coming Sunday at Geelong and no doubt the track will again be to his liking. .
Congratulations again to all our owners in Equilibrium and lets see if we can make it three in a row this weekend.
