Sale Cup Day preview Oct 29
Oct 27, 2017
I've had some luck on Sale Cup day in the past so on Sunday I'm taking a big team down to the Gippsland track to continue that form.
Fingers crossed that all the horses run well, I've got a couple of strong winning chances in my opinion.
R1 No. 6 ALSVIN - On debut and has has talent, has been ticking over well this preparation. He has had a couple of little setbacks in recent weeks and a had a little cold earlier in the week and is not 100% to take his place on Sunday, if he does I expect him to be finding the line late with a view to races over 1400m - 1600m later on.
R2 No. 2 CAVALERO - I've got a lot of time for this horse and before a setback way back at the beginning of this prep I thought he would be good enough to progress through to the Victoria Derby lead up races. His campaign was derailed for a month with a minor virus but his recent work has been excellent. He will run very well on Sunday.
R2 No. 8 THE AUDITOR - A really nice prospect for staying races and has been coming to hand nicely at home. He was a little one-paced in a recent jump out which tells me he will need further before showing his best, this will get him going in the right direction before stepping to 1600m - 2000m.
R3 No. 11 CONSIDERING - This mare is pretty talented but we've had a heap of little hiccups with her so far. She's in good form at home and has drawn well on Sunday for Nikita Beriman. I'd expect her to be finding the line very strongly.
R8 No. 11 ROSEBERRY STREET - This mare is racing really consistently she just needs a bit of luck in her races. She's drawn really nicely in this race and can stalk the leaders, she's a winner at this track and distance and I'm sure she will run well.
In November I'm off to the Ready To Run Sale at Karaka in New Zealand to shop for Derby and Oaks prospects for 2018. If you'd like to stay up to date with our inspections and adventures in NZ please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
