Sale Sunday Sep 10 runners preview

Sep 10, 2017

We've got six runners at Sale today and Shea has provided his thoughts on each of them below for those of you keen to have a Sunday punt - good luck if you're having a bet and especially if you're following Eden Racing!

SUNDAY SEP 10

R2 No. 10 VUITTON
This mare is very well bred being a half to Group winning stallion Eurozone and she is a newcomer to my team. She's had some issues in the past and I've taken her along very patiently to try and get her over them - she seems in great shape and a Cranbourne jump out was encouraging. I'd be stoked if she could finish in the first three with a positive run for improvement next time.

R5 No. 5 TO INFINITY
The old boy has had a bit of a freshen up and runs here from a wide gate. He's going to need luck and will improve for the run but I wouldn't be surprised if he hit the line strongly.

R5 No. 11 BETTER STRIKE
This mare is knocking on the door of another win and she has been most consistent at this level. She's no star but she's in her right race and can certainly take this out with even luck in running. A top chance.

R6 No. 5 STRONG HAND
I've given the horse a little freshen up since his last start third at Sandown and his work into this race has been good. He's another that will improve on whatever he does today but I do expect him to run a good race and be in the finish for a place in a race that has been cut up a bit by scratchings.

R7 No. 10 EQUINETTE
This mare needs some racing to get back into the swing of things after a minor set back following her first-up run. She has some talent and will try hard here but the race is strong enough for her liking.

R8 No. 4 KING WAY
Probably my best chance of the day, King Way has been given a really good grounding for the step beyond 2000m and he gets his first crack at that distance range this prep today. He's been brave on speed of late and chased a good horse last start, he'll be up near the speed again today and hopefully can use his stamina to advantage. I think he will go close and it will be a really meaningful win for the team if he can get the job done given the issues we've had with the horse.
