Raiza for the win

Aug 28, 2017

Progressive sprinter Raiza Flame landed his third win from nine starts when he torched his rivals at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Ridden by jockey Nikita Beriman, Raiza Flame showed his rivals a clean pair of hooves from barrier to box, stamping his class on the BM70 field and announcing himself as a sprinter of great promise.

"He's a city class horse, I've told the owners that from day one," said Shea.

"He's taken a few runs to really click and get it all together but what you saw today is an indication of his potential. I'd say he will become a genuine Saturday class horse if he keeps going forward like he is."

Raiza Flame is another shrewd purchase from Shea and bloodstock agent Paul Willetts from the Melbourne Premier Sale.

Congratulations to all the horse's connections Carolyn Wargent, Mark Wilson, Damian Wilson,  Kon and Dara Antonopoulos, Peter & Sonia Butler, Alexandra Chase, Doug Gniel, Ann Gniel, Colleen Hennequin, Gino Hennequin, Jason Kent, Antony Lane, Aaron O'Dath, Robbie Payne, Ben Sumpter, Eric & Glenda Taylor
