Sale Preview Sunday July 2

Jul 02, 2017

Our original team of six for the races at Sale on Sunday has been cut in half with Shea deciding to scratch some key runners due to unsuitable track conditions - King Way, To Infinity and Roseberry Street will be saved for another day when the track has a little more give in it.

Here's Shea's run through of the remaining three runners.

R3 No. 2 CONSOLING - Shea says "A new horse to our stable and a horse that is bred to get over some ground. He's been very straightforward in his work with us so far and I'm looking forward to learning more about him under race conditions today"

R8 No. 5 STRONG HAND - Shea says "The barrier draw isn't ideal and we'll probably have to go back from there. Ideally the horse would be better on a softer surface but he needs some racing to bring him on fitness wise."

R9 No. 9 RAIZA FLAME - Shea says "We've always had a lot of time for this horse, I thought he'd be racing in city grade races by now but he's a bit of a thinker. It was great to see him get his maiden out of the way so well at Swan Hill and he has improved since then - it wouldn't surprise me if he won this."

Good luck to all of the owners and punters who follow our stable - let's hope there's a winner for us at Sale.
